CCIP for Bangladeshi Students in US

The Community College Initiative Program (CCI) scholarship is given for non-US students to spend up to one(1) academic year at a United States community college. Mainly students from technical background are given this exchange opportunity and they may earn certification in their fields of study. Through professional internships, service learning, and community engagement activities, participants strengthen English language proficiency and immerse themselves in the culture and day-to-day life in the United States.
Participants study in one of the following eligible fields: Agriculture, Applied Engineering, Business Management and Administration, Early Childhood Education, Information Technology, Media, Public Relations & Tourism and Hospitality Management.
If you can avail this, it’ll make you to challenge your English compatibility through real-world interactions, participate in community activities & make you experience through internships and service learning projects that’ll keep you standout on your area of study. This could be a launchpad for you to be a highly skilled professional, ready to return home and contribute to your country’s economic growth. With fields ranging from Agriculture to Tourism and Hospitality, CCI offers a pathway for diverse talents.
Now about the Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be 18 years old by the program start date.
- They should have a diploma from a secondary school.
- A basic understanding of English is required.
- A desire to give back to their home communities through professional and leadership skills is a plus.
- Country-specific requirements may apply, so be sure to check with your local U.S. Embassy for details.

What does CCIP scholarship cover?
CCIP includes facilitating the J-1 visa application process, covering round-trip international travel to and from the host institution in the US with all tuition and mandatory college fees paid. In fact, the program offers on-campus housing and meals, a stipend for books and incidental expenses, J-1 visa compliant due to accident and sickness insurance and a variety of personal and professional development activities.
Will it bring you any certification?
Completing the CCI Program does not guarantee that your home country institution will award credit for your coursework. If receiving academic credit is important to you, be sure to check directly with your home institution well in advance to see if they will accept credits earned through the CCI program. This will help you plan your studies accordingly.
During program breaks, can the scholars travel?
CCI is a full-time commitment, ensuring participants maximize their learning experience. Program breaks offer some flexibility, but venturing outside your host city requires written permission from your assigned college. Remember, this program is designed for immersion in US culture and education. For the most part, participants are expected to remain in the United States for the entire program duration, with exceptions only for emergencies.
